INDIANA GREEN 2017: Studio Visits with Jared Patton Plock and Stephanie Barenz

Co-curators Frank Juarez and Melissa Dorn Richards are at it again. They began their journey visiting artists in their studios for INDIANA GREEN this month.

INDIANA GREEN is an annual group exhibition featuring 2D and 3D works by artists living and working in Wisconsin. This exhibition introduces a diverse body of work by artists ranging from such as but not limited to: paintings to mixed media, sculpture to printmaking, and installation to photography. This exhibition represents personal exploration of materials, media and ideas in a contemporary practice. In its 8th season it will be working with the following artists: Cristian Andersson (Oshkosh), Stephanie Barenz (Milwaukee), Ray Easley (Fall River), Nina Ghanbarzadeh (New Berlin), Kevin Miyazaki (Wauwatosa), Rob Neilson (Appleton), Jared Patton Plock (Milwaukee), and Kate E. Schaffer (Jackson).

These studio visits provide us the opportunity to get to know these artists, listen to their creative process, successes and challenges, provide encouragement to pursue their ideas, and to exhibit these works.

For the next three months, FJG will be introducing you to these artists.
