On July 31st, Indiana Green celebrated its 10th Year Anniversary at the Cedarburg Cultural Center. This exhibition runs through August 25, 2019.

Indiana Green is an annual group exhibition featuring 2-D and 3-D works by artists living and working in Wisconsin.

The first Indiana Green was organized by Frank Juarez in 2010 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin and featured artists from IL and WI. What was suppose to be a one-time exhibition slowly grew into 10 years of working with amazing artists. In 2016, the focus has transitioned to exhibiting and working with Wisconsin artists.

Indiana Green introduces a diverse body of work by artists working from paintings to mixed media, sculpture to printmaking, and installation to photography. This exhibition features works that are meaningful and significant today in Wisconsin's contemporary art landscape. This exhibition is co-curated by Melissa Dorn and Frank Juarez. Organized by the Frank Juarez Gallery.

Cedarburg Cultural Center, W62N546 Washington Ave, Cedarburg, WI 53012. Hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 10am-5pm, Sunday 12pm-4pm.

Boundaries

featuring new works by Sara Willadsen

September 8 - October 20, 2018

We will be participating in Milwaukee Gallery Night & Day.

October 19 from 6-9pm

October 20 from 11am - 4pm with an artist talk from 2-3pm.

Click here to RSVP for the artist talk.

With this series, Willadsen’s work deviates from environments and structures to focus on curated, contained objects. By carefully arranging collage materials within specific parameters, she is able to analyze her visual language as well as use this act of simplifying as an agent for clarity. Each composition is made with restraint and reveals an organized, deconstructed view that can typically only be seen early on in her creative process.

The Frank Juarez Gallery is pleased to present Michael Davidson: New Paintings, an exhibition of new and unseen paintings by Davidson. This will be Davidson’s inaugural show at the Frank Juarez Gallery.

Included in the exhibit will be a selection of Davidson’s recent paintings- both watercolor on paper and oil on canvas, as well as selections from his “dark paintings” series that have not been exhibited before.

Contrasting the richness of their visceral visual language these evocative paintings are straightforward in manner and construction. Through articulate compositions, intriguing chromatic maps, and finessed viscous transitions- Davidson’s new paintings are a poetry of the specific. Davidson constructs curious yet convincing situations through an eloquent materiality and the choreography of the relationships within the area of the page or canvas.

This exhibition runs from April 14 – May 26, 2018. On April 21 from 2-3pm, Davidson will be giving an artist talk. The Frank Juarez Gallery is located at 207 E. Buffalo Street, Ste. 600, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53202.
