Co-curators Frank Juarez and Melissa Dorn Richards are at it again. They began their journey doing a series of studio visits from December 2017 through February 2018.
This exhibition is an annual group exhibition featuring 2-D and 3-D works by artists living and working in Wisconsin. This exhibition introduces a diverse body of work by artists ranging from such as but not limited to: paintings to mixed media, sculpture to printmaking, and installation to photography. This exhibition features works that are meaningful and significant today in the Wisconsin art landscape. In its upcoming 9th season they will be working with the following artists: Lois Bielefeld (Milwaukee), Kendra Bulgrin (Algoma), Michael Davidson (Milwaukee), Jaymee Harvey Willms (Milwaukee), Trent Miller (Madison), Nirmal Raja (Milwaukee), Jeff Redmon (Milwaukee), LaNia Sproles (Milwaukee), and Lisa Wicka (Marinette). This exhibition will be hosted by Parts Unknown Studio in Walker's Point in Milwaukee early summer 2018.
These studio visits provide us the opportunity to get to know these artists, listen to their creative process, successes and challenges, provide encouragement to pursue ideas, and to exhibit new works.
